About Survivor Healthcare

Survivor Healthcare is a telehealth clinic dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with cancer by elevating the standard of care they receive throughout their treatment and survivorship. We bridge the treatment gap between primary care providers and oncologists, offering virtual, evidence-based treatment and support.

About You

Survivor Healthcare seeks a part-time social worker who is passionate about working with cancer survivors to achieve their health goals. We work in a fast-paced environment, and the right candidate will need to be adaptable, self-sufficient, and great with patients.

Responsibilities

  • Complete biopsychosocial evaluations for new patients, assessing patients' needs, goals, and limitations
  • Engage multiple therapy modalities to help patients achieve their goals and increase their emotional well-being
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary care team to provide integrative care
  • Build rapport with patients and their families
  • Develop individualized care plans for patients

Requirements

  • LCSW from an accredited university with oncology certification
  • Active license to practice in one or more states
  • Efficient and working personal computer, high-speed internet connection, and smartphone
  • Experienced in individualized therapy with demonstrated experience supporting cancer patients
  • Ability to work remotely in a quiet and private setting
  • Exceptional ability to establish rapport and communicate in person, telephonically, and online
  • Highly compassionate personality with the ability to motivate others
  • Technologically proficient and able to use G-Suite, electronic medical records, and VOIP systems
  • Experience with AdvancedMD EMR preferred
  • Understanding of HIPAA, HITECH, and confidentiality

Physical Requirements: Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer and other basic office equipment. Requires frequent sitting and bending and occasional walking and standing.

Salary and hours

  • Salary based on experience (hourly)
  • Hours: 10-20 per week during normal business hours; evening hours are also an option
  • Options to expand hours to full-time as business grows
  • Telemedicine-based, all work can be done remotely
